DSC02021Hardwork made the journey to Round Rock Sunday to conquer yet another talented field.  Because of the MLK Uniform Classic the teams were out in force for a chance to design a free set of uniforms.  Hardwork has spent a majority of the past two years playing in the Nike EYBL Circuit so they are used to the stiff completion.  All 3 teams dominated dominated teams from Austin, Houston, Temple, Waco, Brownsville, and San Antonio.

The eighth grade Hardwork group was the first of the three teams to capture the title with three dominating games including a 20+ point drumming of the Texas Hardwood Prospects.  Micah Peavy showed why he is considered one of the best 8th Grade players in the country with a stat filling championship game (15pts, 9asts, 7 rebs). His teammates though push this team into true dominance. They come at you form every position.

The seventh grade Hardwork team also dominated their division but found the always tough Tri City Crusaders in the championship game. The game was close most of the game but the guard play led by Jayshon Jackson (17 pts, 6 ats.) proved to be a constant wave of assists and scoring.

The conclusion of the Hardwork hat-trick came with a championship victory for the 6th grade group over the Shooting 4 Success Storm Elite team.  S4S is one of the best 5th grade groups in the state which was obvious how talented they were with victories over stellar 6th grade teams such as Houston’s Mo City Ballers and BBA of Brownsville to get to the championship. Hardwork would be too much for the younger Storm players and would run away with Hardworks third championship.
