2015 Girls Excel All Star Game Full Of Talent

DSC03475IMG_7607Every year Excel Tournaments gets together on the weekend before Christmas to do something special for the great kids, coaches, and parents that make Excel what it is.  This year was the first time Excel has hosted an all girls All Star Showcase.  It would not disappoint.

The North All Stars jumped out to an early lead with the sharp shooting of San Antonio Unite Skill Academies Charlize Cosmas (13pts 3-4 from arc) and San Antonio Hoops Elites Taylor McDonough (10 pts 2-2 from arc).  The South All Stars would stay around with the steady point guard play of San Antonio Outlaws Avalon Munoz (12pts 7asts) and the strong post play down low of San Antonio Lightnings Alyna Alamillo (8pts 7rebs).  Munoz would later win the Girls 3 Point Championship later in night but in the All Star game she showed she could do much more than shoot the rock.

Other strong showings included the Norths Kaia Herrera (SA Hoops Elite) with 7 pts, Tierra Tullis (SA Hurricanes) with 7pts 8asts, Gracie Gibson (SA Hoops Elite) with 6 pts, Carley Altenburger (Round Rock Lady Rockers) with 6 pts, and K’Yana Parker (SA Hurricanes) with 5 pts.  The South had storg performances from Angelina Longoria (SA Retro) with 7 pts, Julian Torrez (SA Unite Skills Acad.) with 6 pts, Esmi Garza (SA Lady Toros) with 5 pts, and strong guard play from Cinnamon Castillo (SA Retro) with 8 asts.

Thank you to all the wonderful coaches ans parents that give their weekends and extra hours after long days at work to make their daughters the true talent they are.
